Melinda Freudenberger is a poet. They received their undergraduate degree in Creative Writing at Santa Fe University of Art and Design where they became Editor In Chief of the university’s literary magazine, Glyph, in 2016 and self-published their multi-genre thesis collection, SIN-EATER. They later earned their MFA in Poetry from The New School in New York City.

Their first chapbook, Dog Woman, has been published with Harbor Editions. Dog Woman was a finalist or semifinalist in the 2021 Metatron Prize for Rising Authors and in the following chapbook contests: the New Delta Review in 2024, Driftwood Press in 2022 and 2023, and the New Michigan Press in 2024.

Melinda lives in New York City with their cat, Amy. You can find their work most recently in ANMLY, Spectra Poets, and elsewhere.
